A Concise Overview of Aruba's History

Aruba is a tiny island located in the southern Caribbean Sea, just off the coast of Venezuela, don’t let the size distract you, the island has a rich and colorful history! Aruba’s history dates back to the pre-Columbian era when the Arawak tribe settled on the Island around 1000 AD, fast foward a few centuries, and the island became a hot commodity for the  Spanish and Dutch who fought over it like two kids fighting over the last cookie.
