Snorkeling at Arashi Beach

Arashi Beach isn’t just another pretty shoreline, it’s one of Aruba’s best kept snorkeling secrets. Just steps from the soft white sand, the ocean floor drops into a thriving underwater world. As you glide through the warm Caribbean waters, you’ll be greeted by:

Schools of tropical fish,  Parrotfish, angelfish, and vibrant blue tangs dart between the coral.
Curious sea turtles If you are lucky, a graceful hawksbill or green turtle might swim alongside you.
Living coral gardens, Brain coral, sea fans, and elkhorn coral create a mesmerizing seascape.

Unlike some of Aruba’s more crowded snorkel spots, Arashi offers tranquility and abundant marine life without the hustle. The shallow reef near the shore is perfect for beginners, while deeper waters reward experienced snorkelers with sightings of eagle rays and even the occasional reef shark.

Along Aruba’s northwestern coast, just a short 15-minute drive from the bustling hub of Palm Beach, Arashi Beach feels like a serene escape from the crowds. Situated near the iconic California Lighthouse, this stretch of powdery white sand is easily accessible yet blissfully uncrowded. If you’re coming from Oranjestad or the high rise hotel zone, simply follow L.G. Smith Boulevard north until you spot the lighthouse, Arashi’s calm shores and swaying divi-divi trees will greet you shortly after.

There’s ample parking, and public buses also stop nearby, making it a hassle-free adventure. The journey is half the fun-wind through Aruba’s cactus dotted landscapes and arid hills before emerging at this hidden snorkeling paradise. Once there, you will understand why locals and in the know travelers keep coming back.
